Salary
- PGY1 = $55,283.19
- PGY2 = $57,243.28
- PGY3 = $59,202.34
Moving/Relocation Reimbursement
- $1,000 one-time payment issued at the beginning of residency.
Education Allowance
- Up to $400 per resident per year for use toward books and other educational materials, conferences and review courses (Program Director must approve).
Professional Fees
Our Lady of the Lake will cover fees for:
- USMLE/COMLEX Step 3
- Membership in specific professional organizations
Meals
- Complimentary meals, coffee, and snacks in the physician's lounge
- Employee discount in hospital cafe
Parking
- Free parking provided to residents
Insurance
- Our Lady of the Lake will make available to all residents the health, dental, life and disability insurance plans in effect for Our Lady of the Lake employees. Professional Liability Insurance costs are covered by Our Lady of the Lake.
Preventative Health Program
- Immunizations will be provided by Our Lady of the Lake Employee Health Department

Leave
Vacation
- PGY1: Three weeks of vacation
- PGY2: Four weeks of vacation
- PGY3: Four weeks of vacation
Educational Leave
- Residents will be given five days leave to attend or present at medical meetings
Miscellaneous
- Smart phone stipend given to all residents once per year
- Lab coats and scrubs provided to residents
- Resident retreats and teambuilding activities
Board Preparation
Board preparation begins during intern year and we provide every resident the following:
- AAP PREP question bank
- MedStudy content (online review materials, question bank, and a week-long board review course during third year)
- TrueLearn question bank
We incorporate TrueLearn questions into the curriculum through use of monthly quizzes, board review morning reports, rotation-specific quizzes, and quarterly practice exams in addition to the yearly in-training exam to help you monitor your progress.
Board Prep coaches and study plans are assigned to those who need extra support to help you identify your areas of strength and weakness and to help you create and stick to your study plans.
