School Nursing

School nursing is a specialized practice of nursing that supports student health for development and academic success.  Our school nurse program plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of any school community. Our school nurses and school care teams are clinical leaders who prioritize student time in the classroom. They connect healthcare and education, provide care coordination and advocate for quality student-centered care, all from an academic campus. Their goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all students. From promoting preventive care to providing immediate medical attention, we pride ourselves as being essential pillars of support for students.

Your child’s well-being is our priority, and we are here to provide the care and guidance they need to succeed. Together, we can ensure that every child’s educational journey is supported by optimal health and wellness.

“School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success and life-long achievement of students. To that end, school nurses facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health and safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning.”
