Community Outreach

Health Care Centers in Schools and Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health strive to provide effortless access to healthcare for you child. We support health education and promotion efforts in and around the Greater Baton Rouge area. We have a mobile health unit that partners with various initiatives for an even greater outreach to our community.

Mobile Health Unit

Our Mobile Health Unit provides effortless access to primary care pediatric services. We are blessed and humbled to support our community with the following services:

• Well-child checks, school physicals and sports physicals
• General sick visits (flu, strep, cold, headache, pink eye, etc.)
• Diagnosis and treatment of minor illness and injuries
• Management of chronic diseases
• Laboratory/diagnostic testing
• Referral for specialist care
• Immunizations/vaccinations
• Mental and behavioral health services
• Counseling (Individual, family and/or group)
• Crisis intervention and management
• Health screenings, education and prevention
• Case management
