Dr. Safi Haq, cardiothoracic surgeon with Our Lady of Lourdes Health, offers three simple steps you can take to improve your overall heart health.

In late 2021, Scott LeJeune discovered he had suffered a heart attack that he never noticed, leaving his heart functioning at only 20 percent. Utilizing a new device, doctors were able to reduce the stress on his heart for surgery to treat the damage and give Scott a new lease on life. Scott reunited in February 2024, American Heart Month, at Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital with the team that helped save his life.
