Our Lady of the Angels Economic Impact

Our Lady of the Angels is deeply committed to fostering positive change and enhancing the well-being of the Washington Parish community through its active participation in collaborative initiatives such as Bogalusa Strong and Focus Franklinton. These partnerships consist of community members, leaders, businesses and organizations working together to improve the quality of life for the Washington Parish community. These efforts address critical issues ranging from education and healthcare to economic development and social services.

In addition to the Bogalusa Strong and Focus Franklinton community initiatives, Our Lady of the Angels continues health outreach and community education programs in the Washington Parish Councils on Aging, local churches and schools across the Washington Parish School System and Bogalusa City Schools. In partnership with the LSU Rural Family Medicine Residency Program, they complete more than 500 pro bono sports physicals for student-athletes each year.
