Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health Partnering with The Safety Place for Car Seat Safety Check

Safety professionals to provide free car seat inspection, installation from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on April 1
BATON ROUGE, LA – Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health is partnering with The Safety Place to provide free car seat safety checks on Friday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Livingston.
Located at 5000 O’Donovan Blvd. in Walker, LA, the event will have safety professionals on hand to both inspect and properly install car seats. Those interested can show up with their vehicles and car seats any time in the four-hour window or call 225-372-3991 to schedule an appointment.
“More than half of all car seats are not used or installed correctly, but when they are it can reduce the risk of death by more than 70 percent in the event of a crash,” said Alita Lanoux, Trauma Program Manager at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. “This event is a great opportunity for people to ensure their car seats are secure and gain peace of mind that their child is protected.”
