Our Lady of the Lake Health and Southern University Partner to Enhance Student-Athlete Care

Our Lady of the Lake is now the Preferred Healthcare Provider of Southern University Athletics
BATON ROUGE, LA – Our Lady of the Lake Health and Southern University and A&M College have finalized a new partnership agreement aimed at providing comprehensive care to student-athletes.
The historic commitment, which has a total value of $1.35 million over five years, establishes Our Lady of the Lake as the Preferred Healthcare Provider of Southern Athletics. The new partnership ensures that Southern student-athletes receive access to world-class healthcare providers and athletic trainers, both on campus and throughout the Baton Rouge community, to care for their physical and mental well-being.
“We are committed to establishing and growing an elite Sports Medicine program for Southern University and providing Jaguar student-athletes with the individualized care they need to perform their best,” said LaDonna Williams, Senior Vice President and COO of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. “It is an honor and a privilege to work with Southern University’s Athletic Department, coaches and staff towards this goal.”
The new agreement was announced with an on-field check presentation during the Southern University football game vs. Jackson State on Saturday, September 9. The expanded partnership continues a decades-long relationship between Our Lady of the Lake and Southern University.
