Medical Student Rotations and Clerkships in Baton Rouge

Our Lady of the Lake serves as a third-year pediatric clerkship site for medical students from Tulane University School of Medicine and Louisiana State University School of Medicine-New Orleans. We also host fourth-year medical students from across the US for acting internships and elective rotations.

3rd Year Rotations

The pediatric clerkship directors Dr. Mikki Bouquet and Dr. Emily Klepper have specially designed each clerkship so students will receive teaching from our residents and staff in both the hard facts of pediatrics and the development of clinical and critical thinking skills.

4th Year Rotations

If you are a fourth-year medical student, you can request to do an acting internship. Please apply via Visiting Students Application Service, or VSAS, as soon as possible, since there is strong demand for this pediatric rotation experience.
