Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health Announces Kristen Pontiff, MD, FAAP, as Medical Director, Pediatric Emergency Department – Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital

BATON ROUGE – Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Healthhas announced Kristen Pontiff, MD, FAAP, as the medical director of the pediatric emergency department at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. Dr. Pontiff will advance the efforts in the emergency department to continue leading in specialized pediatric care.

Dr. Pontiff is Board Certified in pediatric emergency medicine, general pediatrics. She received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies, and completed her pediatric residency at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in 2016.
Dr. Pontiff served as an assistant professor of pediatrics in emergency medicine at both Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, before returning to Baton Rouge. She will build off this knowledge and expertise in her new role leading the pediatric emergency department.
