Our Lady of the Lake Welcomes Susan Foret as Vice President of Operations for Our Lady of the Lake Cancer institute

Our Lady of the Lake Health welcomes Susan Foret, RN, BSN, MSHCM, as newly selected Vice President Operations for Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Institute. In this role, Foret will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Institute, which is accredited by the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer (CoC), and is the only American College of Surgeons, National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) in the state.Foret is a National Oncology Certified Nurse with over 31 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has held a leadership role for the past 25 years.
“Susan brings a wealth of experience to Our Lady of the Lake with over 25 years leading successful cancer teams,” said Chuck Spicer, president of Our Lady of the Lake Health. “Her expertise in healthcare management, strategic planning, and team development will be incredibly valuable as we continue to grow Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Institute making a difference for cancer patients in our region.”
Foret joins Our Lady of the Lake Health from LCMC Health where she served as AVP of Oncology, Radiology and Pharmacy at Touro Infirmary. She previously served as VP of Oncology service line and Pharmacy at East Jefferson Hospital and served in various leadership roles with another health system in the state.
Foret earned a bachelor’s degree from William Carey University and a master’s degree of science in healthcare management. She has earned a number of awards throughout her career including the DAISY Award in 2010, Nurse of the Year at Ochsner West Bank in 2008, and a Great 100 Nurse honor in 2007.
