Over $1.2 Million Contributed Through Our Lady of the Children’s Hospital Driving the Future Raffle

June 20, 2023

BATON ROUGE, LA — Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital held a record-breaking Driving the Future car raffle, with more than $1.2 million contributed. The annual fundraiser raffles five Lexus vehicles with proceeds supporting the programs and services of the region’s only children’s hospital.

“Our community is incredibly generous and the support they give to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital through Driving the Future is impactful,” shared Ann Marie Marmande, president of Our Lady of the Lake Foundation. “Our children’s hospital provides life-saving care to families right here at home each day regardless of their ability to pay. The support of donors allows us to continue fulfilling our mission to bring the Spirit of Healing to the patients and families we are privileged to serve.”

Tickets were purchased from individuals across 39 U.S. States, but all five winners hailed from the Greater Baton Rouge area. The fundraising campaign begins in March and concludes in May. The campaign is also supported by presenting sponsor, Geico – Your Local Office, and additional sponsors including KidStrong, Cox Media, Campus Federal Credit Union and Aetna. Partners include Price LeBlanc, WAFB-TV and iHeart Media. Winners are announced live on WAFB-TV.

Now in its 13th year, Driving the Future has contributed more than $13 million to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. The fundraiser has made a significant impact over its history, providing funding through Our Lady of the Lake Foundation for projects such as the building of the children’s hospital and expanding the continued care for children in Louisiana.
