Jonathan BroukBATON ROUGE – Following a national search, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health is proud to announce the selection of Jonathan Brouk as its new President. Brouk, who has served as Interim President for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health since March, was named to the new role after serving in various executive leadership roles at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. Brouk is an experienced pediatric healthcare executive and attorney with a corporate legal background and a wide range of strategic leadership experience.

“Jonathan has extensive experience in hospital operations and strategic planning, and will serve the longstanding ministry of Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health incredibly well into this next chapter,” said Chuck Spicer, President of Our Lady of the Lake Health. “I look forward to partnering with him to continue delivering expert pediatric care at our children’s hospital, and as we continue to grow our statewide network of pediatric care together with Children’s Hospital New Orleans.”

In the role of President, Brouk will oversee day-to-day operations of the Baton Rouge-based children’s hospital and will partner with Our Lady of the Lake and Children’s Hospital New Orleans leaders to drive the regional strategy for pediatric healthcare across Louisiana, with the goals of improving access to specialized pediatric health services and child health outcomes. Brouk will report to both Chuck Spicer, President of Our Lady of the Lake Health, and John Nickens, President of Hospital Services and Chief of Pediatrics for LCMC Health.

Our Lady of the Lake Children's Health has served the children of Louisiana and the southern region for more than 60 years. The $230 million free-standing children’s hospital, which opened in Baton Rouge in October 2019, offers a full spectrum of comprehensive pediatric services with more than 300 pediatric providers including 60 specialists and growing to serve the region's need for specialized pediatric care. Additionally, the network includes hospital-based service in Monroe and Lafayette, as well as at clinics throughout the region. Our Lady of the Lake has offered its own ACGME accredited pediatric residency since 2010.

“I am honored to lead the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health team as President, and am humbled by this opportunity to advance the health and wellbeing of Louisiana’s children,” said Brouk. “Together we will continue to deliver upon the vital ministry of Our Lady of the Lake as we build a healthier future for children and their families.”

Since 2020, Brouk has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at Children's Hospital New Orleans. Prior to assuming this role, he served as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, and as a valued member of the Children’s Hospital New Orleans leadership team since joining in 2016. Brouk began his career practicing corporate law in the healthcare group of a large national law firm headquartered in Chicago and a regional firm based in New Orleans, focusing primarily on hospital-physician alignment strategies, population health initiatives, and associated regulatory matters.

“With his heart and passion for pediatric healthcare, Jonathan will be a dynamic addition to the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health team,” said John R. Nickens IV, President of Hospital Services and Chief of Pediatrics at LCMC Health, and executive leader for the statewide pediatric partnership between Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health and Children’s Hospital New Orleans. “We are grateful for the significant impact Jonathan has made in New Orleans over the last seven years, and know he will bring the same drive and passion to his new role in Baton Rouge.”

Brouk earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, cum laude, from Tulane University and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago, where he was awarded a Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy Fellowship. He and his wife Allison have two children, and the family looks forward to calling Baton Rouge home.
