August 01, 2022

Clowers brings 16 years of experience within the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System

BATON ROUGE, LA – Our Lady of the Lake Health has named Jennifer Clowers as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Clowers has 16 years of service within the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, most recently serving as the system’s vice president of ambulatory services. She also has served in multiple capacities at Our Lady of Lourdes Health, beginning as vice president of finance/controller before moving up to CFO and eventually interim market president.

“Jennifer has been an integral member of our system for years, and I can’t think of a better person to step into the role of CFO,” says Beth O’Brien, interim president of Our Lady of the Lake Health. “I have every confidence that she will help lead Our Lady of the Lake to even greater heights as we continue to adapt to an ever-changing healthcare world.”

Clowers joined FMOLHS in 2002 as a senior decision support analyst for St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana. She went on to become the decision support-reimbursement manager and later the financial planning director. Clowers has both for-profit and nonprofit experience, as she spent time in leadership positions at hospitals in both California and Arkansas before returning to FMOLHS in 2013.

“I am honored to continue serving in the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System,” says Clowers. “I look forward to helping Our Lady of the Lake continue to grow and serve the people of Baton Rouge.”

Clowers earned both her bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA from Louisiana Tech University. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Lafayette Class XXVIII and serves on the Board of Directors for Woman’s Foundation Inc. in Lafayette, the Spine Hospital of Louisiana, Our Lady of the Lake Surgical Hospital Slidell, Our Lady of the Lake Pontchartrain Surgery Center, Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge, and the Lake Surgery Center.
