Our Lady of the Angels opens new Family Medicine Clinic on Avenue B

Bogalusa, LA – Our Lady of the Angels has opened a new Family Medicine Clinic on Avenue B, a primary care clinic that provides personalized, comprehensive healthcare for the whole family, seven days a week.
This new primary care access point offers traditional primary care, by appointment, as well as convenient, walk-in access, solving for your urgent care needs and offering after-hours primary care options. You can get the care you need when you need it at a price you can afford. It’s urgent care access without the urgent care co-pay.
Located at 106 Avenue B in Bogalusa, Family Medicine Clinic at Avenue B is led by family medicine doctor Cori Sumrall, DO, physician assistant Ashley Little, PA-C, and nurse practitioners Susette Dean, NP, and Kimberly Salsman, NP. This team specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of illnesses and medical issues and provides preventive and urgent healthcare at a primary care cost. Services include comprehensive annual wellness visits, physical exams, treatment of minor injuries, and evaluation and care of chronic or long-term conditions.
Dr. Sumrall and Ashley Little, PA-C, have relocated from their clinic at 1616 S. Columbia St. to this new clinic space. They continue to provide comprehensive, personalized family medicine by appointment only, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call (985) 730-6970 to schedule an appointment.
Susette Dean, NP, and Kimberly Salsman, NP, now offer urgent care and extended primary care at affordable primary care co-pays on your schedule seven days a week. Meet the providers:
Cori Sumrall, DO, is a Board Certified rural family medicine physician. The Bogalusa native returned home after obtaining her medical degree to complete her residency training at the LSU Rural Family Medicine Residency Program at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital. She is experienced in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illnesses, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, lung diseases such as COPD and asthma, musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety, and much more. She also offers in-clinic procedures such as incision and drainage of skin abscesses, removal and/or biopsy of skin lesions, cryotherapy, joint injections, and pap smears for cervical cancer screening.
Ashley Little, PA-C, is a physician assistant and certified athletic trainer with experience in orthopedic and general surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants with a heart to serve our community.
Susette Dean, NP, completed her master’s degree in the family nurse practitioner program at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. She is a Board Certified family nurse practitioner.
Kimberly Salsman, NP, earned her family nurse practitioner master’s degree at the University of South Alabama. She is a Board Certified family nurse practitioner.
