All Emergency Department (ED) transfers from hospitals go through our transfer center, The PACE. Call (601) 200-2777 and be prepared to give basic demographic information, HPI and any relevant labs/images. Only the ED physician can accept patients to the Emergency Department at St. Dominic. At times, when capacity is tight, the Temporary Capacity Plan is activated.
Peak hours for limited ED and bed capacity are 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 a.m. If your patient is stable and can wait until off-peak time, the ability to plan and coordinate an acceptance in off-peak hours is much greater. Please communicate this option to the PACE team.
