St. Dominic’s Heart Failure Clinic, located on the first floor of St. Dominic Hospital (beside the Gift Shop in the Medical Mall) is a stand-alone clinic overseen by an experienced nurse practitioner. This specialized clinic offers heart failure patients quick, easy and accessible care. We provide detailed education about the disease process, dietary restriction of sodium and fluid, as well as therapy options. We also offer laboratory services, support groups, and if warranted, intravenous or intramuscular diuretic injections.
We help patients manage symptoms of heart failure and other related issues. Patients can easily make an appointment with a referral from their cardiologist or primary care provider. We strive to follow patients closely in collaboration with their cardiologist, primary care provider and nephrologist (if applicable). Our goal is to help our patients who are experiencing this challenging and chronic condition to regain a lifetime of wellness, prevent costly inpatient hospital stays and maintain a high quality of life.
