Corporate Giving

Foundation and corporate giving advances lifesaving healthcare and supports the innovative programs we provide.

Many foundations (including family foundations), donor-advised funds and corporations that share our values choose to align their name with our ministry. We work with each organization to determine a giving opportunity that best suits its mission and resources, ensuring its customers and employees are proud to be a part of a business that helps our community in such a lasting way.

Partners in Health

Partners in Health recognizes organizations and corporations who have joined with Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital and Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center to advance our commitment to medical excellence by making a philanthropic investment. Milton J. Womack logo

Since 1985, Milton J. Womack has invested more than $1 million in Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, embodying their core value to work as proactive and invested partners in building a better Baton Rouge.

For decades, Womack has been a corporate sponsor of our annual signature event, supporting initiatives such as the Intensive Care Unit and Child Life Program. Through their annual charity golf tournament, the company was a lead contributor in building the Children’s Hospital and in the annual Children’s Miracle Network programming. The company has also loyally supported the Children’s Health Excellence and Innovation Fund and hospital operations.

  • Event Sponsorship

Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital events offer your corporation a high-profile and high-impact vehicle to strengthen your brand while supporting the hospital's efforts to advance pediatric healthcare. Each year, our events - including our signature event, The Big Bash, as well as Children’s Miracle Network affiliated events - bring hundreds of people together from our community and our broader region on the common ground of helping Our Lady of the Lake better serve children and families in need. • Cause Marketing

Our Lady of the Lake has been a long-time beneficiary of companies who leverage their business to generate support for hospital programs. Our cause marketing program works closely with companies to tie their business or products to causes within Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.

Cause marketing programs can bolster employee morale while also improving engagement with consumers. Industry research has found that:

    • Americans are likely to switch brands to one that supports a cause if price and quality are equal.
    • Consumers have a more positive image of a company that supports a cause they care about.
    • Consumers want companies to tell them what they are doing to benefit a cause.

    Examples of cause marketing include:

    • Pledging a percentage of sales, proceeds or a predetermined sum
    • Donating in a client’s name in lieu of gifts, awards, etc.
    • Point of Sale
      • Selling paper icons at the register
      • Providing change collection canisters or “round up” promotions

    Spotlight: ACE Hardware

ACE Hardware LogoSince 1991, ACE Hardware has committed more than $525,000 to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital through instore campaigns, an annual golf tournament, and the ACE Helping Hand grant. For more than 25 years, Dan Boudreaux’s ACE Hardware in Napoleonville has hosted The ACE Cajun Classic, an annual golf tournament where 100 percent of proceeds are donated to the Children’s Hospital.

Most recently, the Children’s Hospital was selected as a recipient of the ACE Hardware Helping Hand Donation and presented with a $25,000 grant to expand our Pediatric Palliative Care program, affording us the opportunity to grow the end-of-life care we provide patients and their families.

Through the years the ACE employees have given their time and talents to supporting Our Lady of the Lake Children’s through various campaigns and programs.

  • Employee Engagement

Employee giving programs can boost morale and engage your employees in meaningful philanthropy. When an employee feels their company shares their beliefs, productivity increases.

In a recent national survey, 64% of employees say opportunities to support causes and issues they care about are as important as wellness programs or tuition reimbursements.

You can retain outstanding employees while giving back to your community through an Employee Engagement program partnered with Our Lady of the Lake. Offering giving programs for employees will ensure your company is attractive to the top talent of the future.
