Our Lady of the Angels Health RecognizeD for EMRAM Stage 6 Validation by HIMSS

April 14, 2025

Bogalusa, LA – Our Lady of the Angels Health is pleased to announce that they have recently achieved the HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) Stage 6 validation. This is an assessment designed to measure clinical outcomes, patient engagement and clinician use of EMR technology for acute care hospitals and their affiliated ambulatory care settings.

“We are proud to achieve HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 validation, which reflects our commitment to leveraging advanced EMR technology to enhance patient care,” said Chuck Spicer, Our Lady of the Angels Health and Our Lady of the Lake Health president. “This recognition reinforces our ongoing efforts to improve clinical efficiency, strengthen data-driven decision-making, and ultimately deliver better health outcomes for the communities we serve.”

The Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) is an eight stage (0-7) model. Maturity models assess how healthcare organizations implement and use information and technology, and an EMRAM Stage 6 validation is a key indicator that an organization has matured in their capabilities by reaching one of the top rankings of the maturity model framework.

“Digital health transformation helps our health system leverage the right data to improve our strategies and save patients’ lives, said Will Landry, SVP chief information officer. “This latest EMRAM validation achievement lends to that essential purpose through improving patient safety and satisfaction, supporting our clinicians, and securing enterprise data.”
