Now St. Dominic Health. More Than a Symbol. It's Our Commitment.
February 24, 2025
Jackson, MS – St. Dominic’s, part of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS) since 2019, is embarking on the next chapter of the healthcare provider’s history with a new name and refreshed look. Now known as St. Dominic Health, the new name and logo reflect a shared mission as a healing ministry faithfully committed to the communities it is privileged to serve.
For generations, St. Dominic’s has been a cornerstone of compassionate care for Central Mississippi. Rooted in faith and dedicated to healing, it has served the Jackson community with a mission to bring hope and health to all. Now, as St. Dominic Health, the organization embraces a new look that reflects both its legacy and its future with FMOLHS.
“The joining of these ministries represents a continuation of a legacy of care and innovation, blending history with a shared vision for the future,” said Jeremy Tinnerello, president of St. Dominic Health and the Mississippi market. “This evolution is not just a change; it’s an opportunity to amplify the mission and carry it forward to places beyond what we ever imagined.”
The new St. Dominic Health logo features the Tau, a cross symbol that represents the values that have guided FMOLHS: reverence and love for all of life, joyfulness of spirit, humility, justice and service. While the Tau has long been part of the health system’s identity, St. Dominic Health now embraces it to reflect their shared heritage.
“This transition reflects continuity and change. The cross is still at the center of it all, and our foundation remains firmly rooted in faith and trust in God,” said Sister Karina Dickey, PhD, OP, senior director of mission integration and formation. “FMOLHS has proven to be the right partner at the right time. We had ties of friendship and professional relationships for years, and this transition has been a natural and fruitful evolution.”
As St. Dominic Health, the healing ministry continues. Evolving the brand to honor its heritage while aligning with that of the health system reflects who St. Dominic Health is today and inspires the journey forward.
“The transition to a new brand reflects not just a change in name but a commitment to growth, innovation, and excellence in service,” said E.J. Kuiper, president and CEO of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. “By integrating the strengths of St. Dominic with the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, we are building a stronger foundation to continue delivering compassionate care to our communities, guided by our shared mission and values.”
