Dr. Arturo Blanco Earns United Hero Award for Outstanding Patient Experience from United Healthcare

JACKSON, Miss. – Arturo Blanco, MD, earned the United Hero Award for achieving high patient experience scores. Blanco is a board-certified family physician who has been a part of St. Dominic
Health for more than 13 years. Blanco serves at St. Dominic’s Family Medicine - Clinton. With this award, he joins a community of experts in patient experience committed to delivering superior quality,
safety and service to the patients and families they serve.

Blanco is originally from the Atlantic coast of Colombia from a city called Barranquilla. He has lived in the U.S. since 2001. Blanco earned his medical degree from Universidad del Norte in 1996. Following his medical education, Blanco completed his residency at the University of Mississippi in 2006. He has been Board Certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine since 2007. Blanco speaks English and Spanish and is dedicated to excellence in patient care.

“As a small child I had the desire to be a physician. It has always been what I wanted to do as a
profession,” said Blanco.

Through the United Hero Award, UnitedHealthcare recognizes health care professionals who have achieved target scores in three categories of patient experience:
