Pastoral Care Services

St. Francis Pastoral Care Department includes Catholic priests and a team of chaplains of other denominations who are available to minister to all persons in need, regardless of religious preference.

To contact a member of the Pastoral Care Department, call (318) 966-4000. Our office is located on the fifth floor of the hospital. Pastoral Care hours of operation are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. For spiritual needs outside of regular hours, call the operator at "0" to page the chaplain on call.

Chaplains visit patient rooms on a regular basis offering prayer, spiritual support and other spiritual resources to meet the needs of all our patients, families and visitors. Regardless of religious preference, you or your family may also request a visit from the Pastoral Care team at any time by calling (318) 966-4000. Communion is offered daily to Catholic patients. Television channel 4 broadcasts live Masses from the Chapel. Channel 4 also offers reflective images of nature and scenic destinations accompanied by soothing music to create a peaceful mood.
