The Geriatric Behavioral Center of Our Lady of the Lake Health provides highly specialized inpatient programs in a secure and mindfully designed environment so patients and their families can take significant steps toward recovery and improvement.

The Geriatric Behavioral Center is a highly specialized inpatient program designed to address the psychological and physical needs of older adults. Acute and stressful changes can prohibit them and their families from coping in a healthy manner. Our comprehensive program provides a caring environment to assist in making significant steps toward recovery.

The Geriatric Behavioral Center admits patients 55 years or older who are suffering from one or more of the following:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Agitation
  • Disturbances in sleep and/or appetite
  • Confusion and/or disorientation
  • Psychosis, such as paranoia, delusions and hallucinations
