Provider Network for Lourdes Physician Group Continues to Grow
LAFAYETTE, La. – Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group recently welcomed Board Certified pediatrician Dr. Hannah Chachere, Board Certified pediatrician and internal medicine provider Dr. Nicholas George and nurse practitioner Megan Fontenot to its growing network of providers.
The addition of Dr. Chachere, Dr. George and Fontenot further expands the network of more than 130 providers in the Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group, which offers seamless, comprehensive care for the unique healthcare needs of Acadiana families.
Dr. Chachere and Dr. George are joined by Board Certified family medicine provider Dr. Payal Daya at the new Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group Scott, located at 803 Apollo Road in Scott. The practice, which opened earlier this month, is the second Our Lady of Lourdes location in service to Scott-area families. The Our Lady of Lourdes Emergency Center opened in December 2019 about a mile away across Interstate 10 at 662 I-10 N. Frontage Road. Fontenot joins the practice of Board Certified family medicine provider Dr. Sunshine Little at 3824 N.E. Evangeline Thruway, Suite B, in Carencro.

Dr. Chachere provides excellent, compassionate care to Acadiana children, specializing in ADD/ADHD, asthma, preventative care, newborn care, annual physicals and lactation support. A Crowley native, Dr. Chachere’s post-high school education included marine communities biology studies in Juneau, Alaska, part of the LSU Study Abroad Program. She earned a medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans, where she later completed an internship and residency in pediatrics. Dr. Chachere was active in various nonprofits throughout her college years, including Make a Wish, Habitat for Humanity, Best Buddies and Second Harvest Food Bank in New Orleans. She is a certified lactation counselor and a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Board Certified in both pediatrics and internal medicine, Dr. George is versed in diagnosing and managing pediatric and adult patients with acute and/or chronic conditions, providing comprehensive care to each person from birth to well into their golden years. He earned a medical degree from LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport, where he later completed residencies in pediatrics and internal medicine. Dr. George is a member of American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Fontenot, a Sunset native, specializes in diagnosis and maintenance of hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, allergies and preventive care. She earned a bachelor’s degree and later a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Fontenot worked at hospitals in Church Point and Lafayette before joining Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group.
