St. Dominic Hospital Emergency Room

The Emergency Room at St. Dominic’s exists to serve all patients experiencing an emergent or traumatic experience.

Our emergency room sees approximately 55,000 patients a year with 36 beds. Our state-of-the-art emergency facility offers the latest technology in a patient-centered healing environment that is convenient, accessible, private, efficient and compassionate. The integrated imaging area allows patients to receive CAT scans and X-rays without having to travel to another area of the hospital. The CAT scan area was made possible by the Selby and Richard McRae Foundation.

As the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in Greater Jackson, patients are transported here from throughout the entire state to receive expert stroke care, and this special aspect of our emergency room helps reduce time to treatment and improve patient outcomes.
